FIT2XL Fitness training sessions for sports

FIT2XL Sport Training - Day Course

What's Involved?

The course involves boxing training, cross-training and mental conditioning geared around military style training. At FIT2XL emphasis is placed on a vast amount of cardiovascular activity, with a quick recovery rate being essential, therefore a good level of general fitness is necessary.

Team spirit is the essence of FIT2XL. It is important that all members of the team work together, as creating a good team spirit will help to drive you and your comrades to fulfil your potential. You will find the challenges demanding and hard nuts to crack so if you think its going to be a walk in the park, please think again!

At FIT2XL we are great believers in the cross-training system. The runs involved are military style. You will run with a pack, boots and heavy clothing, with each run being completed in a set but achievable time, there is no room for looking good!

Boxing Training.

Ever thought of training like a professional boxer for the day? Here's your chance! Throughout the course you will be trained as professional boxer - coached by Barry, who is affiliated with the British Boxing Board of Control.

Boxing is probably one of the hardest and demanding individual sports to be involved in. It requires an intense level of cardiovascular exercise combined with strength, speed, power, reflexes, agility and coordination in order to bring out the best in the athlete. These Boxers deserve great respect as they push themselves everyday to reach their peak of mental and physical fitness, whilst maintaining a great amount of self-discipline.

The boxing training, combined with FIT2XL's unconventional methods makes this course completely different and a unique experience for each participant. Boxing experience is by no means essential, as you will grasp the basic techniques quickly.

The Gym.

The gym was founded in 2005 and best described as "Old Skool". Originally based in Darwen, but now in Lower Darwen, Blackburn, it is surrounded by some of the steepest hills in Lancashire.

The gym is equipped with no luxuries, you will find a persona of sweat, determination and pure hard graft. The gym is equipped with punch bags, wraps, gloves, mats, toilet and shower facilities.

The Countryside cross training.

The majority of the cross training elements of FIT2XL are set in one of the most picturesque areas of the Lancashire countryside. The scenery is breathtaking and to train in such an area could be regarded as almost therapeutic in comparison to the intense training that you will undertake in the gym.
