Young Gloves - Boxing for Schools

What is Young Gloves - Boxing for Schools?

Fit2XL have devised a boxing programme for children in years 7 to 11 at secondary school to participate in, whether that is in school time or as an after school activity.

Boxing is a fantastic sport that unites all social, economic and cultural backgrounds together.

Boxing promotes hard work, discipline, pride, self-esteem and respect, which fit2xl believe are the essential building blocks for any individual, whether this is in sport, socially or academically.

Boxing is a great way of releasing energy, aggression and frustration whilst having fun and improving health and fitness. The sport of boxing offers many benefits, one of which is improving all-round general fitness, which includes:

  • Cardiovascular fitness.
  • Anaerobic fitness.
  • Coordination – specifically hand-eye coordination.
